May 22 - First Planting

It's Memorial Day weekend today and yesterday we spent more time in the garden preparing the soil. We purchased some Garden Green compost, made locally, and added it to the soil. We planted purple carrots, spinach, and beets. Today the potatos and peas will go in. Some people already have planted these but in Lakeside the temperatures are still on the cool side. Warmer weather is coming. This is my first post so I will keep it short.
