It's now into July and we've had some continue chilly days but also have a few warm ones. It took the warm days to get the garden growing. There is space though so I am planting some sunflowers today and some more spinach. Fresh garden greens are great. The potatos are about hip high, we've eaten the lettuce greens several times for dinner, and the tall phlox, irises, lupines and daisies are blooming.
The freshly tilled areas seem to get our cats 'visiting' them.
We did some shrub trimming today. The hedge, which belongs to our neighbors (rentors) is out of control. It'd be nice to have wild land and bigger property size but for living in town we have worked a lot on shaping what are land looks like. Lots of shade perennials in the front.
The large orange poppies have had their show. The raspberries are on their way.
We frequently have monarchs and other butterfly visitors. It will be time for a campfire in the back yard again this weekend with the nice weather. Marshallows under a starlit summer eve. Purdy good.
